Recently, one of our new ENERGY STAR certified homes was tested with REM/Rate Residential Energy Analysis and Rating. Below are the energy cost savings per year:
Energy Cost savings per Year Heating $1376 Cooling $83 Water Heating $87 Total Savings $1546 In addition, the home also prevented 37,000 lbs. of Carbon Dioxide CO2, 159 lbs. of Sulfur Dioxide SO2, and 103.5 lbs. of Nitrogen Oxides emissions per year. So not only is a new home more energy efficient but it safer for the enviornment.

We recently checked our George Ross model at 2220 Deer Path in Waukesha with the Green Built Home checklist and verifier. 60 Points is the minimum requirement for GBH designation.
Our home scored a 108 without any significant modifications. If you are interested in more information about building Green Built Home or NAHB certified Green home please contact your salesperson for more information.
